What is the WSGA Golf League Software?
In our never ending quest to grow the game of golf the WSGA has a unique opportunity to provide the golf leagues of Wisconsin a proven tool for online golf league management. In partnership with Golf Net, the program would be available to existing WSGA member courses and their league secretaries. Participating courses will be given direct access to the program so that they or their league secretaries can manage the league information.

By using an online based software solution, information can be entered at any location with internet access. In addition, players will be able to track their league information, including schedules, results, and standings 24/7.

Because the software is adaptable to many league formats, the leagues will be able to operate in the same or a similar way, just with the flexibility of an online management tool. Leagues may be individual, 2-person, 4-person, or any combination. League play must consist of players playing their own ball.

Leagues that participate in the WSGA Software Program will also be eligible to send the winners of their leagues to the year-end WSGA Wisconsin League Tournament. Any player in a league using the WGSA league software will be eligible to become the WSGA Wisconsin League Champion.

How Does the Software Work?
The WSGA Golf League Management Software is an online management program. By logging on to the Software website through WSGA.org, each of the league secretaries can have access to their leagues.  This can be done at the course or at any location that has internet availability. No programs need to be installed and all tasks are completed through a web browser.

Leagues can operate exactly the way they already have done in the past and now the league players are able to view their progress and league standings via the Internet. In addition, schedules and pairings can be posted and accessed online. An online players directory links league players and a league message board allows players to communicate on the site. League administrators and courses can send updates through the site to participants. By using this feature, members can be updated instantly about rain outs, tee-time changes, and any promotional announcements from the course such as discounts.

Can I try the Software Before Signing up?
Yes!
A demo of the website that players will have access to is available by clicking here.
League secretaries can sign-up for a free trial of the administrator site by clickinghere. (Remember: Leagues receive a special price by registering through the WSGA, see below for more details)

The WSGA Golf League Tournament
League winners will have the opportunity to compete in the year-end WSGA Wisconsin Golf League Tournament. This event will provide league players the chance to compete with the league winners from around the state at one of Wisconsin’s top golf courses. The winner will then become the WSGA Wisconsin League Champion.

As with any WSGA championship, the event will be conducted under USGA rules, and WSGA rules officials will be present at the event to clarify any rules questions. The number of qualifiers from each league will be determined by the amount of overall participation in the league software program.

Leagues must be signed up by March 15th to be eligible for the year-end tournament.

How can my League Become Involved?
The WSGA Golf League Management Software is available to any golf league at a WSGA member club. Courses must register with the WSGA by March 15, 2008 to be eligible for the year-end tournament. The cost of the program is $5 per league player with a $250 minimum per club. There is no cost for league members who are current WSGA members (2008 season). Please contact David Cohn or Bill Linneman at the WSGA to sign up at (414) 443-3560.
